You can house your server on one of the racks at our data centres by hiring rack space. You can hire a quarter, half or full rack. Simply supply your own equipment and we will advise you on the purchase.

The maximum number of amps your equipment is permitted to use in a quarter, half or full rack. 1 amp is equal to approx. 230 watts. Power is recalculated against 23.5 cents per kWh.

The effective space of a rack is limited by the switch, current metre and/or any power bars that have been installed.

Your rack comes with a series of IP addresses as standard. Effectively, you will not be able to use all of the allocated IPv4 addresses for your machines. Six of these IP addresses will be used for network, broadcast, router 1, router 2, gateway 1 and gateway 2.

The racks in our data centre all have a depth of 100 centimetres. The rack posts are placed at 74-centimetre intervals. Effectively, this means that we can house servers with a maximum depth of approx. 80 cm.
