It is possible to in- or decrease (data) volumes. Data volumes you can link next to the default root volume to your virtual instance.
It is not (yet) possible to reduce or enlarge root volumes.
Caution Reducing volumes can be dangerous, especially when the file system on the volume does not reduce the risk of losing data. We only recommend to reduce volumes if you know what you're doing.
Before you reduce or enlarge volumes, you must ensure that:
- The virtual instance where the disk is attached to is off.
- When you shrink a volume the file system on it is already reduced.
You can change the data volume by navigating to Storage -> Volumes where you select the data volume. Here you will find Resize Volume button.
You will see a popup where you can select a new size. You can only shrink a disk when you confirm this action by clicking 'Shrink OK'.
